I got these after the disappearance of my cherished Saroyans, and believed I would be disappointed by the sound, but they would do. I was pleasantly surprised at the tone, a medium pitched ring that had some clarity to it. One cannot expect a clear, tuned, bell like tone from a budget set of zills, which generally make a "tunk" sound like two coins. In contrast, these zills actually ring and look nice. So, if you are saving money and want a nice sound, these are a good choice. |
