Internationally acclaimed dancer Princess Farhana has appeared in France, Switzerland, Belgium, Portugal, Egypt, Mexico and Canada, as well as all over the United Kingdom and across the USA. For the past seventeen years she has also written extensively on Oriental Dance, for both dance and mainstream publications. |
Named “Favorite Cabaret Dancer 2006” by Zaghareet Magazine, she has performed live at concerts with Arabic superstars Amr Diab, Hakim, Natacha Atlas, and Alabina, as well as at private events for celebrities and dignitaries such as former First Lady Hilary Clinton, The Saudi Arabian Royal Family, and The Rolling Stones, among many others.
Known for her exquisite technique, dramatic stage presence and high-concept theatrical flair, The Princess travels constantly performing and teaching workshops all over the globe. Since 2006 she has been featured the principal dancer in comedian Margaret Cho’s touring variety show, The Sensuous Woman. Princess Farhana has been featured dancing and acting in numerous motion pictures, music videos, and television shows; and in many dance documentary films dancing and as an interview subject. In 2008, her movie credits included Assistant Choreographer to Fatima Robinson ( of “Dream Girls” fame) for the sword dancing sequence in the hit “Charlie Wilson’s War” starring Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts . The Princess is the subject of award-winning director Steve Balderson’s feature documentary, “Underbelly: A Year in The Life Of Princess Farhana”, released theatrically and on DVD in March 2008. Along with director Augusta, she has produced nine instruction / performance DVD’s.
