Q: I'm looking for one of these to dye for a costume and was wondering what materials the fabric is made out of - is it a polyester mix, cotton, etc?

Hi Bryony, Thank you for your question. This skirt is a polyester blend with no cotton. Polyester does not absorb dye. We do not suggest dying this fabric, because if the polyester blend contains any nylon or other material that does in fact absorb dye, the result will be slightly dingy looking. I hope this helps.

Hi Aaron, Thank you for your question. This skirt does not have an attached underskirt. What you see in the photo is a pair of our costume shorts in white, Item #4817. I hope this helps.
