This classic Egyptian style mermaid belly dance skirt in black features a single side slit and ruffle trim. A great staple in your Belly Dance wardrobe! Made from comfortable, stretch polyester; poly chiffon ruffle and inserts with wired edges. Elastic waistband.

We ordered a set of black skirts after ordering a set of the exact same style in white several months previously. I was really pleased because my dance company consists of women who run the gamut of sizes from extremely slim and petite to tall and curvy and everything in-between. That the skirt comes in a variety of sizes was fantastic. We all felt they are good value/quality for money. Paired with the criss cross choli top it can be worn as a simple costume or with the added bling of a bedlah! Shipping was fast too!

Great Skirt
Recently ordered this gem for a private gig. I wore it for an Egyptian Saidi piece and I should note that when doing figure 8 twirls with the cane, the cane caught in the skirt's slit a couple of times. No harm done, but it's something to consider if using for a saidi. You may want to do a couple run-throughs in costume before the show to see if your cane might catch. The fit is extremely comfortable and I love the material. It feels good to dance in.

Great Skirt!
Finally found a pretty skirt that is flattering, not tight or overwhelming for my 5'4" 135 lb frame. Runs true to size. I bought M/L and it is a little large on me I usually wear size 6 or 8 dress or skirt. I was able to fold it down from the waistband and wear on my hips without being too snug. You may need shorts underneath depending on your height and where the slit hits your thigh.

Thank you for your question. The length of this skirt from hip to bottom ruffle measures approximately 38 inches. You will want to take your hip to floor measurement to determine if this will suit you.
