Amanda starts by taking you through shimmy drills to develop single leg technique, double leg technique, relevé, and much more. Once you become comfortable with the shimmy, you will add it to other moves to create dynamic layers. Then you will take your dance to the next level by combining traveling movements with your new-found shimmy mastery. Included is an in-depth technique and drill section where you will put it all together and learn combinations. Amanda also demonstrates modern trends and gives you ideas on movement usage so you can create your own style.

i'm a fan
I own another DVD of Amanda Rose and appreciated it so much that I bought this one also. Again i am very impressed with Amanda Rose, her dance and teaching style. There is a lot of information on this DVD and some real challenges.

Good!! But I thought it will have more material..
In my opinion it's a good dvd, but I thought it will have more than five/six shimmy layering in advanced level. It has a first section more easy to starter dancers, and later she adds the shimmy to all her movements. I'd recommend it because the explanations are very good and all sections are clear, but if you are and advance dancer you will have new material about shimmy, but not something newest if you know well egyptian style. The production, music and image quality are fantastic!
